Ijumba Signature Hotel.

A redesign concept for a boutique hotel in Bellville, Cape Town. The aim: a site that looks as considered as the rooms do, and turns a visit into a direct booking enquiry.

01 / the idea

The idea.

Ijumba is a small, modern hotel 8 km from Cape Town International. Its rooms have real character: deep velvet headboards, marble-look tiling, leather chairs and brass-legged tables. Online, most of that gets lost in a booking-site photo grid.

The concept leads with those details. Warm browns and brass pulled from the rooms themselves, a calm editorial layout, and the headboard's diamond stitching redrawn as a line motif that runs through the site.

The copy is written for the people who actually stay in Bellville: early flights and late arrivals, business near the hospitals and campuses, and families visiting the Cape.

02 / the build

The build.

Every page leads to one action: booking direct. A check-availability bar sits in the hero, each of the five room types has its own enquire button, and a sticky call-to-action follows you down the page.

The enquiry form carries the dates, room and guest count with it and turns them into a ready-to-send WhatsApp message to the front desk, so the hotel gets a booking request with nothing missing.

It is a single fast, dependency-free page: images reveal as you scroll, the headboard motif draws itself in, and it respects reduced-motion settings and works on any phone.

// why it's here

Real rooms. A site to match.

Ijumba is an unsolicited concept, made to show the hotel what a direct-booking site could look like. It is not commissioned by or affiliated with Ijumba Signature Hotel, and it is not their official website.
