Wine made in
the last light.

Lesedi means “light” in Setswana. Our slopes hold the sun long after the valley has gone dark, and every bottle carries that last hour of it.

The Collection

Three wines,
three slopes.

Each wine comes from a single block, picked by hand and fermented on its own. Turn the bottle to read the label.

“We don’t chase the sun. We wait for the hour it leaves, when the slope cools, the breeze comes off the bay, and the grapes finally slow down.”

Lerato Mokgosi Cellarmaster
The Klipkop bush vines, planted 1974

The Estate

Three generations,
one late hour.

The farm sits high on the western face of the Helderberg, where the False Bay breeze arrives every afternoon and the sun sets over the water instead of behind the mountain. That extra hour of light ripens the grapes slowly. The breeze keeps them fresh.

We farm forty-two hectares by hand and without irrigation on the old blocks, and ferment each one on its own, so every bottle tastes of one slope, one soil and one season.
